“Scott Pilgrim” to return in full-color hardcover form

According to Comics Alliance, Bryan Lee O‘Malley recently announced that his acclaimed and much beloved comic book series, Scott Pilgrim, will be reissued as a “deluxe, resized, full-color hardcover series”. The reissues will also contain bonus and previously unpublished material.

Each new Scott Pilgrim hardcover measures 6” x 9”, features a new cover by O‘Malley, and comes with supplemental and never-before-published materials. Volume 1, Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Life, will go on sale in August with volume 2 to follow in October. The Scott Pilgrim hardcovers will be published bi-annually and retail for $24.99.

Purists might dismiss this as some sort of cash grab, but the examples that Comics Alliance include in their article do look pretty nice. Methinks I’ll wait for the inevitable box set before I consider repurchasing the entire series.
