On August 19-20, 2011, a theatrical event of legendary, nay mythical, nay paranormal proportions will descend upon the city of Lincoln, Nebraska like an alien race intent on abducting and performing bizarre and horrifying experiments on us. I am, of course, referring to X-Files: The Musical, the latest production from The Colonel Mustard Amateur Attic Theatre Company.
X-Files: The Musical is currently taking shape in the former Zion Church lot behind my house, and I caught a glimpse of one of its musical numbers last night. Suffice to say, it left me grinning ear to ear... and all the more depressed that I won't be able to actually attend the event due to another commitment. However, the Colonel Mustard company recently announced, via their Kickstarter page, that they'll be live-streaming both nights of X-Files: The Musical at xftm.thecolonelmustard.com in addition to releasing a DVD of the event (more details here).
So if you live in Lincoln and won’t be able to attend either night, or you just really want to see your favorite duo of FBI agents like you’ve never seen them before, you now have a couple of options. And remember... “The Truth Is Out There”.
