“Cloud Atlas” gets an impressive, epic trailer

Cloud Atlas is the upcoming sci-fi epic from Tom Twyker and the Wachowskis. Based on David Mitchell’s novel, the movie follows several interlocked stories that span centuries, from the 19th century to the distant future. I know a lot of people dissed the Wachowskis after Speed Racer, but I loved that movie (read my Speed Racer review), and am excited to see them tackle such an epic scope. The presence of Tom Twyker (Run Lola Run, Heaven) as co-director certainly doesn’t hurt, nor does the presence of actors like Jim Broadbent, Tom Hanks, Bae Doona, and Hugo Weaving.
