Trailer for the Dardenne Brothers’ “The Kid With A Bike”

Ever since The Tree of Life, I’ve become increasingly aware of how being a father has changed the way I approach movies. I mention that because, as much I want to see the Dardenne Brothers’ The Kid With A Bike — which won the Grand Prix at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, and which opens in Lincoln at The Ross on April 20 — I’m not sure I’d be able to handle it. The few glimpses that the trailer gives us of the film’s father/son dynamic are enough to leave me feeling a little undone.
