“Acid Reign” by Violens

Stereogum has “Acid Reign”, the first single from Violens’ upcoming full-length, Amoral (due out this summer on Static Recital). If it sounds vaguely similar to Lansing-Dreiden, that’s because several of Violens’ members come from the obtuse art collective. But Violens’ music is a little more “in your face” than their progenitor’s cryptic art-rock—not that Violens’ music is aggressive, it’s just more accessible, layered, and overall, has a more vivacious feel.
