“Song of Remembering” by The Rentals

I’ve always enjoyed The Rentals’ music (my review of Return of The Rentals) but somehow, I missed their latest project. Songs About Time is a year-long multimedia project consisting of three EPs, 52 short films scored by the Rentals, and 365 photographs.

“Song of Remembering” is taken from the first EP—Chapter One: The Story of a Thousand Seasons Past—and features everything that I loved about The Rentals (catchy melodies, solid arrangements, a certainy geeky charm) as well as Joey Santiago (The Pixies) on guitar.

    This is awesome!  I’m wondering why I never heard about this before now, though. 

    BTW, I always get an “Invalid GET data” message when I try to jump straight to a particular Opus entry from Google Reader.
