Watch the first nine minutes of “Evangelion: 1.01”
The first of the four “Rebuild of Evangelion” movies—Evangelion: 1.01 You Are (Not) Alone—will come out here in the States on November 17, and FUNimation has placed the movie’s first nine minutes online for all of your otaku needs.
It’s been awhile since I’ve watched Neon Genesis Evangelion, but even so, it’s pretty apparent that Gainax has updated the visuals quite a bit, even going so far as to add in some new elements to scenes like the battle with Sachiel and Nerv’s GeoFront. It also sounds like FUNimation has brought back at least some of the original voice actors for Evangelion: 1.01‘s English dub, which is a nice touch if you prefer your anime sans subtitles.
